InterCars have a fully equipped workshop and car service centre.  We are ideally located for motorists in all over Galway City.  In our service department we will prepare or repair your vehicle to the highest of standards.  Our garage offers servicing on all makes and models of cars and light commercials. At our garage in Galway City we specialise in engine diagnostics.  All makes and models are catered for and we operate using main dealer standard diagnostic machines.  Some of the common problems we can fix are listed below:

Accident repairs:

At InterCars our body repair centre is equipped with the most up to date technology and equipment and has highly trained and qualified staff working within.

We are dedicated to providing a premier level of repair quality to all vehicles along with excellent customer satisfaction.  We will give you an estimate for the cost of the repair and we also deal with all the major insurance companies and we will take all the hassle out of what is always a stressful time.

We can accommodate for all repair requirements from the smallest scratch to a full body repair on all vehicle makes and models.  All work is carried out in our state of the art spray booth, we also offer vintage car restoration, alloy wheel refurbishment and can even do full re-sprays on vehicles up to 5 metres in length if required.

Vintage Car Repairs:

We undertake all restoration work large or small, from small rust repairs through to complete restoration projects and even accident damage if you are unfortunate to suffer a mishap in your classic.  All work is photographed and documented.  Where possible restorative work is done to factory specification, panels are replaced to the original joins and spot welded as they would have been at manufacture.

If you have a Classic Car you would like to have restored or repaired? Be it a large or small job, we will be happy to give you an estimate.  Estimates for work depend usually on us being able to see the car, or at least seeing a set of photos showing close-ups of any trouble areas.

We concentrate on quality and thorough work with no quick fixes! Potential customers are advised to consider to what lengths they would like their projects to go and what they would be prepared to spend.  Restoration is never cheap, but it can represent good value if, of course, the car in question is worth restoring.

InterCars offer full car valeting & car wash facilitys.  We have a wide range of valets available.  We pride ourselves on value, excellent customer care and above all attention to detail.

Tyres & Exhausts:

Tyres

You should never underestimate the importance of good tyres.  They are the only contact between you and the road.  Each tyre touches the road surface on an area that is approximately the size of a postcard.

Make sure you keep them in top-notch condition and seek advice when you have a question.  At InterCars we will be glad to help you. Exhausts:

The exhaust may be hidden under the car but its functions are necessary for the safe and optimal running of your vehicle.

What does the exhaust do?

We only see the rear end of the exhaust system but actually it is a quite complex system, approximately three meters long.  An exhaust in good condition:

maintains your car’s performance
ensures optimal fuel consumption
decreases engine noise
transforms harmful substances to protect the environment (the catalytic convertor)

Recovery:

InterCars also operate a tow truck service.  Our towing and recovery service covers Galway city and county.  Our recovery truck can handle cars, 4x4's and light commercials and our rates are very competitive.  If required we can bring your car to the garage of your choice (N.B We have our own garage too) or to your home.
