We are an Independent supplier of Quality used cars located just outside of Dunleer in Co. Louth. (You will get directions to our premises here).

Wheel Alignment (sub heading)
3-D Laser Wheel alignment or tracking is the process whereby the direction and angle of the wheels on your vehicle are re-set to the specifications recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. Using state of the art 3-D laser technology our expert tracking technicians ensure that any movement caused by pot holes, kerbs or speed bumps are rectified ensuring:

As a rule its good practice to have your wheel alignment checked every 18,000 – 20,000 kms or once a year but if you notice uneven tyre wear, your vehicle pulling to the left or to the right or a crooked steering wheel then its recommended to get it checked immediately.
Vehicle suspension misalignment can result in rapid, irregular tyre wear, which is bad news for your pocket and can affect the handling and safety of the vehicle.
If your suspension is misaligned by 4 mm (just 2 mm per wheel), then for every mile you travel the tyre is being forced sideways by 8.4 metres (28 feet)*.

Your tyres are the only part of your car in contact with the road. It is important that they are in good condition and correctly inflated to allow your vehicle to Grip, Stop and Steer in all weather conditions. The legal limit is 1.6mm of thread depth across 3/4 of the tyre all the way around however it is recommended to replace them at between 3 and 2mm as wet weather performance is greatly impaired at this stage.
At Dunleer Car Sales we will check the condition of your tyres free of charge, if they need to be replaced no appointment is necessary as we offer a "while you wait" service. We carry a large range of both branded and budget tyres for cars and commercial vehicles at the most competitive prices possible and offer a friendly, efficient service. Our prices are always quoted as fully fitted with no hidden extras (fitting, balancing and disposal are all included).
All tyres sold, comply to "E" marking, "S" marking and the new PAHS regulations. Tyres must be recycled, when we fit new tyres we will dispose of your old tyres for you in an environmentally friendly manner free of charge.
