Marcelo reported mail delays on his clients (mail notification popping up but no new mail in inbox). This is most likely due to gmail set to retrieve mail from [email protected] via pop3 (gmail polls in fact every 40 minutes).
Unfortunately there is no way to set gmail fetcher with anything different than pop3 (i.e. IMAP), so I've setup a mail forward from [email protected] toward his gmail account.
Note: Marcelo is still able to send mails as '[email protected]' from his gmail.
Agreed with him I'll be calling on Friday to check how's going with new setup.
Contacted Marcelo and he's not experiencing delay issues anymore. He's finding the new setup is way quicker and he's not experiencing anything different than before.
Agreed to contact him on Tuesday for a quick follow up but he's definitely happy.
