Stock way out of date, good few enquirys coming through but I fear there is a problem here. Will continue to follow up.

Ellen called back looking to cancel. Would discuss either just says they have gotten little or nothing from the site compared with Carzone and she wants to cancel thats it! Wants an e-mail from me confirming receipt of the cancelation also.

Was uploading all the way along until November and then gave up at that stage by the looks of it.

Called Ellen back to quote these figures and she said she did give up updating becuase she felt it was no good. Gave her all this figures and she is adamant she is seeing nothing like that on her end and Carzone way outstrip us.

I want to cancel the account PLEASE! was her last words. Going to investigate what position she holds here and contact John.

Went over Ellens head to John directly, far more approachable fella. Couldnt rubbish Ellen as it turns out she is his daughter.

He was complimentary about Peter and about how the site was working for him in the early part of last year saying the quality of lead from us was really good and he was converting 80% of them. Adamant that it then completley dropped off and he was getting nothing. I highlighted the fact that they stopped updating stock in November but he says it dropped off before that and started talking about not having received one enquiry in the last 10 days.

Not even true as he got an enquiry 2 days ago on a 202 Peugeot 307. And has gotten 10 e-mail enquirys this year already.

None the less, Peters mistake was that Johns mobile is listed on Carzone but not on our site so he is not getting the enquriys direct or hearing the name.

I have agreed with him that we will manually update the stock for the next two months (cz feed) and that I have listed his mobile alone on the site so he gets all the calls.

I will touch base with him regularly and once he is getting calls we can start billing again in April.

Feed arranged stock up at 66 items now.

Got two e-mail enquirys over the weekend since I updated stock. Called John to make sure he got them but he was with someone and under pressure.

Told him I would give him another shout later in the week.

5 more good email enquirys here since we updated stock.

Called John to run through them individually. Started having ago about getting one repeated enquiry from a guy on an 02 Merc who sent it 7 times. Seemed to not know a thing about the other 5 until I started listing names.

The daughter Ellen is working againist me here. Seems she only told him about the slightly wierd one. He is getting happier though and I am to ring him same time next week again.

2 more good email enquirys in since our last conversation. Calling John to point them out to him. no answer will try again later.

Enquirys are on 04 picasso with mail & phone number + 12 Avensis diesel the same.

Called me back, sold a car of the site last week 08 automatic and the avensis guy is coming this evening and sounds strong. I asked the question straight away about reactivating payment. He said to sit tight for another week but its looking good.

6 more enquirys since the 8th.

Called John and he is off on holidays in West Cork asked me to call again next week.

No more fobbing now its decision time.

Since 19th of February they have received 13 email enquirys. 29 site clickthroughs.

Total contacts = 65 and that is just in a 27 day period.

Over a year with up to date stock that is likely 156 emails, 780 total contacts.

Decision time they need to pay again or take them off there is no more we can do.

We know for certain at least one car sold from the site in the 27 day period. Call again on Tuesday.

This is hard to fathom when you view the figures above. John appreciates my efforts and agrees that he is getting plenty of contacts since we started updating the stock for him.

However he argues that he is selling nothing from them and a lot of them are messers even though he told me twice over the last two months that he had sold a car from the site that week.

Hard not to have a blazing arguement with this man but I dont think that will help in the long run. Says he is getting nothing from Carzone either so because he is not getting any support from Peugeot he is going to cancel it aswell.

Told him straight out that he is going to notice a fall off in sales and showroom visitors once we take the stock down. He is in agreement that if that is the case he will come back to me.

Complimentary about Peters original setup, the site our whole process but says he does not feel he is getting value for money at the moment even though he has certainly sold at least 5 cars directly from the site this year.

Madness.

Will take off feed now and have Anthony permanently close account. I suggest John will be back to us before long.
