Spoke with John who is looking to cancel his account. Said Donedeal is far better and hasn’t sold a car of the CarsIreland.ie website yet! John hasn’t updated the control panel since December so went through the importance of syncing etc... Still looking to cancel the account.

John was with us before, signed up with Derek a few years back and cancelled after a while without ever using the system correctly.

Now is trying to cancel again, same thing as per John Havel note. Came back on the site in April 2015. He has been on the site for 12 months.

199 website clickthroughs. That accounts for most of the website traffic, 383 in total. has no presence on Google to over ambitious target terms on Google, via Peter.

26 email enquirys dating back to April last year. Lots of good ones.

Hasnt updated since November and leads dried up slowly but surely since then with only 5 mails this year, last one in February.

Spoke with Ger and I spoke with John. Got a number for Denise who uploads the cars also.

Says he was getting enquirys last year but not as much as he was with Done Deal so stopped bothering to update a site. Felt Done Deal was better value.

Got him to understand that by doing that he was ruining his chances of getting the response he seeks from us. Showed him ad view graph with dramatic fall off, fall off in email enquirys etc.

Reitereated our poistion in the market, importance of dealer website etc.

Long and short of it is I reduced monthly price to 66+vat per month as a gesture of good will and to get on par with Done deal. He will commit to updating correctly for next 3 months and will work with me on this.

I have option now to call Denise directly when stock is out of date.

Sent instruction to Anthony to amend monthly price to 66+vat per month.

A load of new cars added to the site which is great. Photos all blurry though, I thought they may have saved them from Done Deal or something but it seems they are just badly taken.

Brought this to Denises attention, she uploads the cars. Didnt spot it and she understands were im coming from.

She will have the photos retaken over the next couple of days.

3 good email enquirys since last update. Still some blurry photos on 4 cars so have spoke to Denise again in order to update them.

Updating regularlry again and website traffic has picked up. Its not amazing but its better and they are interacting with the site.

Still gains to be made with better ads and better photos.
